LOCAL SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES FOR MUSICIANS
- The Orchestra Workshop - is a workshop for string students aged 10 through 15 to continue to build their skills over the summer.

- South Jersey Choral Directors Association - SJCDA is also known as the Region III home website for vocal programs.
- North Jersey School Music Association - NJSMA is also known as Region I of the NJMEA.
- Central Jersey Music Educators Association - CJMEA is also known as Region II of the NJMEA.
- South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble - The South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble is a a 65 member band consisting mostly of adult professional musicians and music teachers.
- Garden State Philharmonic Youth Orchestra - Based in Ocean County, the GSPYO has three orchestras comprised of students in Grades 5- 12, who come from Monmouth and Ocean Counties. All students who have an interest in performing in an orchestra are encouraged to audition.
- Garden State Pops Youth Orchestra - Based in Gloucester Township, this 80 piece ensemble provides orchestral training for musicians aged 12 to 21. It was started in 1994 as an offshoot to the Garden State Pops Orchestra.
- Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey - Over 100 volunteer musicians and supporting members representing more than 30 communities in the Delaware Valley have joined the Philharmonic making it one of Southern New Jersey's largest cultural organizations.
- Bonsal Blues Band - The Bonsal Blues Band is a revitalized community based organization with the band being 56 years old. The band features a Concert Band, a Marching Band and a 18 piece Jazz Band. Any outstanding musician, meeting the minium age requirement of 15, is more than welcome to join us. We will give you the opportunity to play your instrument year around.
- Philadelphia Sinfonia - Featuring 85 musicians ages 11 to 20, the Philadelphia Sinfonia is a youth orchestra from the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. Its high school and college-age musicians perform an annual concert series as part of this city's tapestry of artistic and musical endeavor.
- Philadelphia Youth Orchestra - The Philadelphia Youth Orchestra is one of the oldest youth orchestra in a major U.S. city. It has provided professional-level musical experiences to gifted young instrumentalists for 65 years, thrilling audiences and critics alike around the world. The Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra and Bravo Brass round out a wonderful trio of ensembles.
- Golden Eagle Community Band - Based in Burlington County, the band averages 50 - 55 volunteer musicians from all walks of life, ranging in age from teenagers to retirees. They perform four pairs of formal concerts during the school year, plus community concerts and parades through the summer. Ad hoc groups include a jazz band, flute ensemble, and Dixieland band.
- Original Hobo Band - Founded in 1946, the Original Hobo Band, Inc. is a community band based in Pitman, New Jersey. The group performs year round in parades and concerts and is always looking for new members. The groups unusual attire and surprising sound has garnered much attention during their 62 year history. - Salem County Brass Society - The Salem County Brass Society is a non-profit musical organization which is committed to providing quality sacred and secular brass music for the citizens of the Delaware Valley area, through performances at church services, civic events, and regional concerts. As a large brass choir, the Salem County Brass Society has existed since the Spring of 1974. We are always looking for quality players of brass and percussion instruments. We rehearse at 7:30PM every Monday evening in Carney's Point , from September to June.
- Philadelphia Brigade Band - The Philadelphia Brass Brigade meets in Glassboro every Wednesday evening at 7:30PM. We are always looking for good brass players, drummers and piccolo players. Today's Beck Band represents both the 28th Regiment and the later brigade band, with a normal compliment of 16 - 20 musicians. The band has played for a number of venues, including the 2000 Republican Convention, the 125th anniversary of the Philadelphia Art Museum, at the Kimmel Center, yearly at Independence Hall on Memorial Day, monument dedications and rededications, period balls, reenactments and at community concerts where the memory of the boys of '65 is maintained.
- Music at Bunker Hill - Music at Bunker Hill presents concerts of mostly classical music in the intimate setting of Bunker Hill Presbyterian Church in Washington Township.
- Atlantic Pops - The Atlantic Pops Community Band of Egg Harbor Township, performs concerts in support of the Atlantic City Rescue Mission and the HERO campaign for Designated Drivers. Membership is open to those with intermediate to advanced musical skills and students over the age of 16 with the recommendation of their Band Director.
- String Me Along (String Camp) - (Gina Corso, private music teacher and performer.) String Me Along, Jersey Gina Entertainment’s string day camp, based out of Blackwood, NJ - http://jerseygina.com/string-me-along/. It is open to string students of ALL ages and abilities. Beginners are welcomed and embraced! The camp is performance centered. In addition to the classics (Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven), students will learn rock improvisation, electric basics, and beginner blues. Over the course of two weeks, students create their own production. They learn everything from designing the stage, to choreographing themselves, to performing a diverse set-list, to promoting throughout the local community. Also, special industry guests will surprise the students with motivational & educational workshops.
